Do you know all of the <\/span>health recommendations in terms of professional clothing <\/span>to combat COVID-19?<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

During these first few weeks of easing lockdown, there are many workers from so-called non-essential sectors who have had to gradually start returning to normality, going back to work and combating this dangerous virus on the front line.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most of them have done so with a long list of doubts around safety and the hygiene measures they should take to reduce the risk of infection as much as possible. At Primer, as <\/span>a company specialising in machines for industrial laundries<\/strong>, <\/span>we thought it was worth reviewing some of the recommendations published by the Spanish Ministry of Health for <\/span>professional clothing<\/strong>. Hygiene, safety, <\/strong><\/span>precaution, and other similar words are those heard most often from the government’s official bodies, and also during press conferences in recent weeks. <\/span><\/p>\n

Good practices for <\/span>professional clothing:<\/strong>hygiene<\/strong>, safety <\/span>and caution in laundry areas<\/span><\/span>  <\/h3>\n

  • It is advisable to keep the laundry area clean and disinfected since it should convey a feeling of cleanliness.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The frequency of cleaning the premises or facilities should be increased, with particular attention and more time spent on the critical points. <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Bear in mind the capacity of the facilities and avoid direct contact between users, always ensuring safe distances are maintained.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Adjust the washing programmes to achieve the maximum level of hygiene in each wash. With the new T2, it is very simple and quick to do.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Place signage and posters with instructions for use, safety and hygiene for all users.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Clean the floor with a water solution containing disinfectant.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \n Safety protocols for self-service laundry users<\/span><\/span> <\/h3>\n

    • It is important to wash hands frequently with soap and water.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • It is important to cover the mouth and nose with the elbow when coughing or sneezing. <\/span><\/li>\n
    • A distance of one metre should be kept between users.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Touching the eyes, nose and mouth should be avoided since it is the main source of infection.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • It is vitally important to keep the surfaces that are in contact with hands clean and provide areas with special detergent for this. <\/span><\/li>\n
    • The use of disinfectant gel should be compulsory and close to the entrance, or in a space prior to the use of the machine.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • If a user has symptoms of being infected, it is important they do not enter the facilities.  <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      We are on the verge of beating this pandemic, and we should all take on the responsibility of rigorously continuing with these basic hygiene measures as a society. This is the only way we will be able to move on and start to look towards the future with hope. Remember… cleanliness, precaution and professionalism are the key!<\/span><\/p>\n
